Rachel Eggie, a talented hair stylist, has recently moved back to Baton Rouge to continue fulfilling her dream. With her grandmother as a role model, Rachel knew from age 15 that she wanted to pursue a career as a hair stylist. She graduated from LSU in May of 2013 with a degree in marketing. She then moved to Houston and began the path to her career.
She was a dedicated ambitious student at the Aveda Institute of Houston. Her hard work and dedication was represented through the awards that she received during her time there. She was a recipient of the Aveda’s Edwin Neil Full Potential Award, an award given to select Aveda students across the country. She also received the Beacon award, an award given to 100 out of 1,500 applicants, during the Professional Beauty Association’s Beauty Week. After her schooling, she began working at an elite hair salon in uptown Houston, Therapy Hair Studio. She was fortunate enough to be able to work under highly trained professionals, who are veterans to the beauty industry.
Rachel is excited to be back in her hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana doing what she loves. She continuously expresses her passion and creativity for hair through her work. She aspires to one day open a salon of her own and utilize her business degree.
Industry leaders who I met during the Beacon Experience, that have
